In a game between Kansas and Duke, Kansas star Hunter Dickinson was kicked out in the second half after an incident with Duke’s Maliq Brown. With just over 10 minutes left in the game, Dickinson missed a jump shot and both players ended up on the floor fighting for the rebound. While they were on the ground, Dickinson accidentally kicked Brown in the face.
After the refs reviewed the play, they decided it was a flagrant foul 2, which meant Dickinson had to leave the game.
At the time, Kansas was leading 57-55. Before he was ejected, Dickinson had 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, but he had trouble finishing his shots against the taller players on Duke’s team.
With Dickinson out, Kansas had to rely on their backup center, freshman Flory Bidunga, who had only played about 8 minutes up to that point.
